BEVERLY - Mrs. Margot A. (Mahoney) Wuenschel 77, of Beverly, beloved wife of Daniel Wuenschel, died Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Margot was the daughter of the late Edward and Marie (Bennis) Mahoney. She was raised and educated in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School, Class of 1957. She continued her education at St. Joseph's College in Philadelphia. Margot served for many years in administrative positions for various social service agencies and businesses. In the 1990s Mrs. Wuenschel became the founder and proprietor of Margot's of Beverly Farms, a collectables, antiques and art gallery, and boutique. For nearly a decade, Margot's held a special place in the hearts of local artists and collectors. Her shop/gallery had something for everyone; art, original clothing, pottery, crafts, antiques and many types of unique collectables for people to express their personal style.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Margot was known for her great sense of humor as well as her sense of style. Anyone who crossed the threshold of her front door was treated like family as she was a gracious and kind host who always took the time to listen. Margot expressed her creativity in a variety of ways over the years through her cooking to arts projects with her children. She was especially proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed traveling to Ireland to see the birthplace of her ancestors. More recently, she loved spending her time completing crossword puzzles, watching classic movies, listening to her favorite musical artists and staying up to date on current events through her favorite radio shows on N.P.R., yet above all else family was always first in her life. She will be deeply missed.

Margot is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Daniel Wuenschel of Beverly, her daughters, Rebecca Wuenschel of Rockport, Elizabeth Wuenschel and Rachel Wuenschel both of Gloucester, her two grandchildren, Rowan and Nora Rockwell, her sister, Desiree McAleer of Willowgrove, PA, her sisters-in-law, Grace Mahoney of Lexington and Maureen Mahoney of Glenside, PA and many nieces and nephews including John Malone of Norristown, PA. She was also the sister of the late Patricia Malone, Edward Mahoney and Miles Mahoney.
