Maria Kantorosinski Obituary

SALEM- Mrs. Maria Donata (Adamczewski) Kantorosinski, 86 of Salem, beloved wife of the late John Kantorosinski, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Born, in Borek, Poland she was the daughter of the late Albin and Helena (Bieganska) Adamczewski. She was raised and educated in Poland and immigrated to the United States with her husband in 1965, settling in Salem where they raised their family.

Maria had been employed at Charlie’s Leather in Peabody and later for the City of Salem Public Schools in the cafeteria for many years where she was the beloved “lunch lady” who enjoyed meeting and talking with all the students.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, family was paramount and always came first. She was always there for support, a guiding hand, a kind word and a hug whenever you needed it. She loved her grandchildren and was always supportive of their many endeavors. Outgoing, with an easy smile, you couldn’t help but to be drawn to Donata. She would talk to anyone and could converse on just about any subject, she made friends easily and had many over the years.  She enjoyed traveling and traveled the world with her travel mate and daughter, Elizabeth. Gardening was a passion and Donata could be found in her garden most days tending her flowers. She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Polish Church in Salem where she was an active Choir member, Bingo worker, a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, and participated in many of the church’s social events, she was also a member of the Lynn Professional Young Women’s Association for many years. Donata will be fondly remembered for her generous, kind nature and deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
