Marianne Bane

SALEM - Marianne Ellen Bane passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2020, in Beverly Hospital, after a long illness.

Marianne was the daughter of the late John Martin Bane and Grace Hanly Bane. She grew up in the Willows section of Salem, attended Phillips Elementary School and Salem High School.

Marianne was a resident of Hogan Regional Center in Danvers for over 30 years. Marianne enjoyed spending her weekend visits with her parents and family. She especially treasured the holiday and birthday celebrations. Marianne loved dining out and being with family and friends. She had many wonderful care-takers and friends at Hogan. Marianne was known for her wonderful laughter and smile.

Marianne is survived by her sisters, Rosemary Bane Bogan and Marguerite Marie Bane, both of Salem and her brother, John Gerard Bane, of Illinois. She is also survived by her nieces & nephews, John R. Bogan, Claire Jaques Bogan and great-nephew Miles, Erin Bogan Wise & Keith Wise, Patty Bane, John & Jena Bane, Phillip & Francis Bane, Ruthie Bane & Travis Keller, Michael Bane, Mary E. Bane, Esther Bane, Joshua Bane, and Joseph Bane. She also is survived by many Bane, Nally, Haugk, McCabe, Byro, O’Brien, Brennan, McGrath, and Harrigan, cousins in Massachusetts, Indiana, and Ireland.

Marianne’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Hogan Regional Center, Northeast Arc, and Beverly Hospital for their care and kindness. 

ARRANGEMENTS: Marianne’s funeral services will be privately held.
