SALEM – Mr. Mario J. Tricomi, 90 of Salem, beloved husband of the late Lucy (Lamessa) Tricomi who passed away just 18 days before her husband and together shared over 66 years of marriage, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Salem, Mario was the son of the late John and Carmella (Pappalardo) Tricomi. Raised and educated in Salem, he attended Salem Public Schools and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1947.
A veteran of the Korean War, Mario proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
A life-long resident of the City of Salem, Mario spent his entire professional career as a truck driver for A.F. Goldsmith & Co. in Salem for 45 years until the time of his retirement.
A loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, Mario’s greatest joy were his grandchildren. Both he and Lucy lived for their grandchildren and they cherished all the time they were able to spend with them as they truly were the light and loves of their lives. In retirement, they enjoyed traveling, especially to the Caribbean Islands and all throughout Europe to visit family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and cared for him.
