SANBORNVILLE, NH – Ms. Marion Grace (Peachey) Elms, 89 of Sanbornville, NH, formerly of Middleton, died peacefully, Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at her home with her daughter by her side.
Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Alviah and Gertrude (Nyman) Peachey. She was raised and educated in New Jersey, Lynn and Middleton, Massachusetts, and was a graduate of the former Holten High School in Danvers. Being a member of a large family, her relationship with her siblings was of the utmost importance to her throughout her life. All of the Peachey kids supported each other throughout their entire lives.
Mrs. Elms had been employed for over 30 years at the former Middleton Greenhouse until the time of her retirement in 1987.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she was devoted to her family. Marion was a passionate Boston Red Sox fan, rarely missing a game and enjoyed spending her time knitting. She donated many of her knitted sweaters to charities over the years and would often give them as gifts to family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. She will be deeply missed.
Marion is survived by her daughter, Linda Marie Elms of Sanbornville, NH, her granddaughter, Michelle Elms of Danvers, her great grandson, Randell J. Parent of Danvers, her brother, Retired Chief of the Middleton Police Department, Robert Peachey Sr., of Middleton, her sister, Doris Barrett of Las Vegas, NV, her daughter-in-law, Nancy Bowden, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was the mother of the late Howard Elms III, and sister of the late Gertrude Peaslee, Rita Tinkham, Rosemary L’Abbe, and George, Raymond and Earl Peachey.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) DANVERS, Monday, Nov. 1st at 11 A.M.. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours Sunday, Oct. 31st from 2 to 4 P.M. Kindly wear face coverings.
