Mr. Mark Peter Harris, 57 of Reading, beloved husband of Donna (Rossignoll) Harris with whom he shared 32 years of marriage, died unexpectedly, April 19th, 2012 in Florida.

Born in Boston, he was the son of Dexter G. Harris of Marshfield and the late Theresa (Thibedeau) Harris. Mark was raised and educated in Marshfield, and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1973 where he was a member of the varsity hockey and football teams. He continued his education at Bridgewater State College and Northeastern University.

Mr. Harris had been employed with Aramark as a driver for over 26 years until the time of his retirement in 2010. A resident of the Town of Reading since 1983, Mr. Harris was an active volunteer in local youth sports. He dedicated his time as a coach for his sons Little League baseball teams. Mark was an avid Boston sports fan. He especially enjoyed rooting on the Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots. Mr. Harris enjoyed spending time at his home in Destin, Fl. with wife and many friends. His larger than life personality will never be forgotten and his kind nature touched all that he knew. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his loving wife of thirty two years and his father, Mark is survived by his sons Scott Harris and his companion Adriana Gallo of Peabody and Gregg Harris of Reading, his sister Lisa Masiello and her husband Steve of North Marshfield, his brother Matt Harris and his wife Sue Freeman of Boston, his niece Anna Harris and nephew Benjamin Harris, and many dear friends including Mark and Casey Gemelli. He was pre-deceased by his loving canine companion Kirby.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62) Danvers, Saturday May 5th at 12 noon. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to the service from 10 to 12 noon.
