SALEM - Mr. Mark S. Polakiewicz, 65, of Salem passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Salem Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born in Salem, he was the son of Regina (Urbanski) Polakiewicz and the late John Polakiewicz. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

A Machinist by trade, Mark had been employed by Wilbur Tracy Associates, Inc for many years. His strong attention to detail, accuracy and his dedication to his job made him an exemplary employee.

A devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Mark always put his family first. He was always there for his mother and would help her with anything she needed. He would take her on many outings, driving, birdwatching, but mostly just to be with his mom.  He loved spending time with his nephews being involved in their many activities and reveling in their accomplishments.

The quintessential outdoorsman, Mark loved being outside hunting, fishing, hiking through the woods, riding his motorcycle and bird watching. If you could do it outside Mark was involved. He was also a member of the Middleton Gun Club and enjoyed shooting and the camaraderie of his friends and other members. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

Surviving Mark, in addition to his mother Regina of Salem, are his nephews, Jonathan Polakiewicz and Christopher Polakiewicz of Salem, his sister-in-law, Janet Polakiewicz of Salem, his many cousins, and friends. He was also the brother of the late John Polakiewicz.
