BEVERLY- Mrs. Mary A. (Polizzotti) Pickell, 94, of Beverly, beloved wife of the late Samuel M. Pickell, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lawrence she was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Ramacca) Polizzotti. She was raised and educated in Salem where she attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1942.
As a young woman Mary had been employed at CBS Hytron and later for the Telephone Company.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother; family was paramount. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother and providing a warm and loving home for her family was always first and foremost. She relished the time spent with family, hosting milestone celebrations or participating in their many activities, creating memories that could be carried on for future generations. Mary’s loving care was never far away; she could always be counted on to lend an ear, provide support and guidance, all with her loving touch. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.
Surviving Mary are her daughters, Janet Lessard of Beverly and Lisa Fitzgerald and her husband Thomas of Danvers, her son Jack Pickell of Georgetown, her grandchildren, Liam Fitzgerald, Jake Pickell and Samuel Pickell. She was also the grandmother of the late Michael Lessard and sister of the late Daniel Polizzotti and Leo Polizzotti.
ARRANGEMENTS: All services are private at this time. A public Funeral Mass will be announced at a later date and time.
