Mary Rogers Obituary

DANVERS- It is with great sadness that the family of Mary A. Rogers announces her passing on November 3, at the age of 83.  She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, the late Chester M. Rogers Jr.

Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Remare) DeLorenzo. She was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1955. She was predeceased by her cherished brother, Anthony DeLorenzo.

After raising her children, Mary began her career in travel as a bookkeeper for Kimball Travel, later becoming the office manager. When the agency was acquired by Ask Mr. Foster, she stayed on board managing several different offices. She later joined Abacus Travel where she worked as a senior corporate travel adviser for many years until her retirement.

Mary was a kind and loving wife, mom, noni, sister, and ‘auntie’. She was truly happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was witty and smart, enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time at their second home on Long Lake in Naples, Maine. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Surviving Mary are her daughter, Terri Amero and her husband, Fredrick of Danvers, her sons, Glenn Rogers and his partner, Amy Astolfi of Danvers, Kevin Rogers and his wife, Elizabeth of Seabrook, NH and Craig Rogers and his wife, Diane of Danvers, her grandchildren, Jennifer, Cristen, Christopher, Taylor, Brian, Patrick, Emily, Benjamin, Cory; her great-grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, Thomas, Reghan, Lily, Noah, Mason and Caylee; her sister and best friend, Irene Frontiera of Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
