DANVERS- Miss. Mary Jane Sim 85, of Danvers, Died Tuesday July 7th, 2015 at Hawthorne Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Estelle B. (Sanborn) Sim and was a long time resident of the City of Peabody and the Town of Danvers. Miss Sim attended the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown. Jane volunteered her services at the National Braille Press in Boston for many years and was an active member of the North Shore Community Center in Marblehead. She was also an avid correspondent with friends in the United States, England and Australia. Talented musically, she was an accomplished organ player. Jane is survived by her beloved brother, Robert F. Sim of Danvers who has cared for her for the last 25 years. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Shirley E. Sim and sister-in-law of the late Louise M. Sim.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service which will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Thursday, July 9th at 1:30 P.M. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem. As requested visiting hours omitted. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon St., Watertown, Ma 02472.
