DANVERS – Mrs. Mary Rosalyn “Roz” Thibodeau, 93, passed away Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Belmont, the daughter of Roger and Catherine (Bourque) Thibeau. Rosalyn was the beloved wife of the late Harold J. Thibodeau.
Mrs. Thibodeau grew up in Lynn, where she attended and graduated from Saint Jean Baptiste High School. While attending a community dance Rosalyn/Roz met the love of her life, Harold. They would go on to raise two daughters, Donna and Diane, and celebrate 64 years of marriage. Rosalyn/Roz and Harold moved to Danvers, and would eventually divide their time between their home in Fort Myers, Florida.
Rosalyn/Roz stayed home while raising her two daughters and later went on to become a Loan Officer for the Saint Jean’s Credit Union in Lynn, where she retired. Rosalyn/Roz loved to bowl, and, in earlier years, was a member of the Catholic Woman’s Bowling League as well as the Saint Jean’s women’s volleyball league. She also enjoyed dancing, something she and Harold shared. She continued bowling and enjoyed many other activities with friends in her Florida community.
Rosalyn/Roz is survived by her daughters, Donna Thibodeau of Danvers, and Diane Scali and her husband, John of Salem, NH, along with her grandchildren, Justin Scali, Jenna Scali, Jared Scali and his wife, Laura, and her great-granddaughter Ellianna. In addition to her husband Harold J. Thibodeau, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Thibeau, Therese Aylward, and Verna Barry.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rosalyn’s funeral service which will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Monday, May 23rd at 12 noon Visiting hours prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 12 noon. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosalyn’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
