PEABODY – Mrs. Maureen B. McQueen, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at Brooksby Village in Peabody. Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of Victor and Helen (Beety) Cornellier.

Mrs. McQueen lived most of her life in Acton, graduating from Acton High School. After graduating she went on to marry her first husband, Roger Gregory, who passed away suddenly in 1959. Later in life Maureen would meet her second husband, Dr. Thomas H. McQueen, and went on to work as the receptionist in their private dental practice in Acton. Maureen had most recently resided in Beverly before moving into Brooksby Village in Peabody.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved more than anything, trips to the beach, boating, and reading a good book. Social by nature, she loved going on lunch outings with her friends and was a member of the Church of the Cove in Beverly. Maureen also loved to spend her time painting, gardening, and playing the piano.

Maureen is survived by her children; Dr. Michael McQueen and his wife, Lynn of Ann Arbor, MI, John McQueen of Hyannis, Rosemarie Guitard and her husband, John of Lanesborough, and Marybeth McQueen and partner, Rick Bartram of Middleton, along with grandchildren; Adam McQueen, Dr. Kiel and his wife, Dr. Francesca McQueen, and Katherine Guitard, and great-granddaughter; Danielle McQueen. She is also survived by her brother Victor Cornellier and his wife, Julie of Maryland. In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her loving husbands Roger Gregory in 1959 and Dr. Thomas H. McQueen in 2014.
