Michael E. Bigelow

SALEM, MA - Mr. Michael E. Bigelow, 66, of Salem, beloved partner of Diana L. Lane, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October, 5, 2020 at North Shore Medical Center, Salem, MA.

Born in Jackson, Michigan, he was the son of the late Donald and Yvonne (Dudley) Bigelow. He was raised and educated in Newburyport and was a graduate of Newburyport High School. Michael continued his education receiving his Associates Degree.

Mr. Bigelow had been employed by Allied Electronics in Danvers, as an Inside Key Account Manager for several years. He worked in the electronics industry for most of his career.

Michael had a passion for music, he enjoyed many genres of music but jazz was his favorite. He loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed biking and walking. Michael was looking forward to retirement to spend more time with his family and being able to devote more time to his interests and hobbies.

A loving companion, father and grandfather, he was proud of his children and was truly happiest when spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of family and his quirky sense of humor. Michael will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Surviving Michael, in addition to his longtime companion Diana, are his children, Bethany (Bigelow) Madigan and her husband Brent Madigan of Windham, NH, Kelley Bigelow of Salem, NH and Sam Bigelow of Derry, NH, and his grandchildren, Charlie Dufresne and Callie Madigan. Also, he leaves behind his late brother Jim Bigelow of Dover, NH, his niece Lauryn Bigelow of Kittery, ME, and brothers Rick Bigelow and John Bigelow.
