DANVERS - Mrs. Nancy Rae (Oliver) Langlois 84 of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Robert Langlois, died peacefully Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Ledgewood Nursing home in Beverly. Born in Concord, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Weltha (Belrose) Oliver. She was raised and educated in Contoocock, N.H. and as a young girl her family moved to Ocean Ave in Salem. She was a graduate of Salem High School. Mrs. Langlois began her professional career as an Operator with New England Telephone Company in 1952. She worked with New England Tel & Tel for 36 years until 1988 when they merged with A.T. & T. Nancy met the love of her life, Ken while working together for the telephone company in it's downtown Salem location. As a young married couple, Nancy and Ken resided on Webb and Japonica Streets in Salem until settling in the newly developed Woodvale Section of Danvers to raise their family and make a loving home.

In retirement, Mrs. Langlois held various positions, with the former Warren 5 Bank in Peabody and later in life with Stop & Shop in Beverly. She enjoyed the camaraderie of working with others and serving the public. She especially enjoyed her time at Stop and Shop making new friends seeing old ones and mentoring the younger generation she was working alongside. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, Nancy was devoted to her family. She enjoyed baking for others and sharing her delicious treats with all. She was kind, outgoing, giving and generous. She endeared herself to many. She had a love of nature and the outdoors especially enjoying her time spent in her younger years at her family's cottage on Loon lake in Plymouth, New Hampshire.

Nancy had a very close relationship with her niece Patty, whom she spent many hours with and would love taking Patty to enjoy time in NH with her even from a young age. She took great pride in nurturing her relationships with family and friends her entire life.

She was an over 50-year resident of the Town of Danvers and considered herself a Danversite and loved the Town and its people. She was a long-time member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and in recent years enjoyed her friends and activities at the Peabody Senior Center. Above all else family was paramount in her life. She will be deeply missed and always remembered. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Karen Langlois of Longwood, Florida, her son, Kenneth Robert Langlois Jr. of Danvers, her grandson, Daniel Langlois, her great grandson Killian and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
