Norma P. (Richards) Duchesne

PEABODY - Mrs. Norma P. Duchesne, 91 of Peabody, beloved wife of the late Roland O. Duchesne, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late William and Madeline (Muse) Richards. She was raised and educated in Danvers attending Danvers Public Schools.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Norma was happiest when surrounded by her family. She was a stay-at-home mom who worked hard every day to provide a warm and loving home for her family. She was over the moon when the grandchildren came along and relished the time spent with them. Norma had many ups and downs in her lifetime, but she persevered surrounded by and with the help of her loving family.  She loved good food, a good movie and listening to all the old songs. Norma will be forever remembered for her love of family and deeply missed by them.

Surviving Norma are her children; June Herlihy and her husband William Ricci of Danvers, and Roland Duchesne Jr. of Derry, NH, her grandchildren; John Herlihy and his wife Hollie of New Market, NH, James Herlihy, and his partner Rhonda McNally of Dover, NH and Sandra Hudson of Rutland, VT, several great-grandchildren, her sisters, Lorraine of Lynn and Mildred of Danvers. She was also the mother of the late Kenneth Duchesne, Michael Duchesne and Richard Duchesne and sister of the late Norman Richards.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Tuesday, May 2nd at 12 (noon). Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. (noon). Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
