SALEM - Mrs. Patricia Ann (Coté) Day 75, of Salem, former wife of the late Page T. Day Sr., died unexpectedly August 23, 2017 at Salem Hospital. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Marguerite (Smith) Coté. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1959. Mrs. Day spent a 30-year career working for the Telephone Company all the while raising her family. She spent her retirement years doting on her loving grandchildren and for nine years was associated with the former Deer Skin Trading Post in Peabody. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, Patricia was a life long resident of the City of Salem. She was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan who supported them through good times and bad. She loved games of chance, trips to Foxwoods and had a keen eye for a bargain. Above all else family was paramount. She found her greatest joy surrounded by her family and took immense pride in all her children and grandchildren's accomplishments. She will be deeply missed. Pat is survived by her daughter, Deborah Tierney and her husband Kevin Sr. of Danvers, her son, Page T. Day Jr. and his wife Debbie of Salem, her life partner and a very special man, Tom Bakula of Salem, her grandchildren, Allison (Tierney) Wood and her husband Rob of Chester, N.H., Kevin Tierney Jr. and his wife Kristin of Amesbury, Michael Day and his fiancé Amanda Magarian of Salem and Kelsey Day of Fredericksburg, VA, her three great grandchildren, Brielle Page Wood, Myles Robert Wood and Brendan James Tierney, her sister Gloria Pierce and her husband Arthur of Salem, her sister-in-law, Carmella Coté and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James Coté.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Monday, August 28th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to the service from 9 to 11 A.M. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Pat's memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
