BEVERLY - Paul E. Tremblay Jr., 73, formerly of Salem, beloved husband of Charlene (McInnis) Tremblay, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Paul and Mabel (Cameron) Tremblay. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School where he was Captain of the Hockey Team. An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Tremblay proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Following his service, Paul returned home and went to work for his father’s masonry business, P.E.T. Construction. He was a former co-owner of Port Plaza Cleaners in Newburyport, and then joined the Salem School Department where he was the Senior Custodian until the time of his retirement.
A man with a feisty personality, you always knew where you stood with Paul. He treasured the time he spent with his family and strived every day to be the best husband, father and Pepere he could be. He loved music, was an avid golfer, and an “unapologetic” Montreal Canadiens fan. Paul spent many years volunteering for First Tee, a youth golf clinic in Salem where he shared his love of the game. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.
In addition to his wife, Charlene, with whom he shared 15 years of marriage, Paul is survived by his children, Michelle Kolodziej and her husband Christopher of Salem; Eric Tremblay and his partner Colleen Enos of Peabody; Monique Fialho and her husband Antonio of Beverly; Nicolas Levesque of Albuquerque, NM; and Janelle Azzolino and her husband Joseph of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Christopher and Cameron Kolodziej; Owen Tremblay; Trevin Levesque; Dominic and Marilia Fialho; and Francesca Azzolino; his sister, Cindy Murley; his brothers, Richard, Albert, Donald, Robert and Mark Tremblay; and several nieces and nephews.
