Pauline Marie (Merluzzo) Rosenberg

SALEM – Ms. Pauline Marie (Merluzzo) Rosenberg, 96, of Salem, died peacefully, September 28, 2020 at Salem Hospital.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Santa (Uccello) Merluzzo. She was raised and educated in Salem and attended Salem Schools.

In the early 1950’s, Ms. Rosenberg moved to California and returned to her home city of Salem in the early 1990’s where she had been employed with the Salem School Department. She worked as a Para Professional at the Bentley School for many years. She took pride in her ability to support her young pupils.  

A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Pauline enjoyed spending her time knitting, baking and doing word search puzzles. She made many friends over the past few years at Spectrum and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving and kind woman who will be deeply missed.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Paula Jean Sumrow of Salem, her granddaughter, Shannon Krol and her husband Daniel of Fremont, NH, her great grandchildren, Brayden and Emerson, her brother, Joseph Mezzulo of Stillwater, NY and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was the mother of the late Paul Anthony Bettencourt and sister of the late Anna Dellamonica, Mildred Redican and Bartol, Paul, Sebastian and Santo Merluzzo.  

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to vising hours at O’Donnell – Cremations – Funerals -Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Sunday, Oct. 4^th from 4 to 6 P.M. All other services are private. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. All attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and are respectfully asked for no physical contact with the family.
