Peter Rossman

ROCKPORT – Mr. Peter G. Rossman 74, of Rockport, died peacefully, April 22, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Hinsdale, Illinois, he was the son of the late Norton Lee and Elsie (Armbruster) Rossman. He was raised and educated in Western Springs, Illinois and was a graduate of Lions Township High School.

An honorably discharged disabled veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Navy.

Mr. Rossman had a deep love and passion for music, he had a great collection of Digital music of famous bands and enjoyed making compilation discs for family and friends. He was also a very talented leather worker and would make belts and keepsakes for other veterans. He was an active member of the veteran’s group in Gloucester and enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow service members. He had a love of animals especially his dear feline companion Terra.

Peter is survived by his sister Margaret Smith of Hodgekins, Il, his longtime friends Pamela and Raymond Arsenault of Danvers, their daughter, Maria-Jose Naczas and her husband Jason and their husky, Kylo, who was a gift from Peter and his long-time friend Tom Cahill of Rockport.

ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of Peter’s life with military honors will be held at a later time. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers. Donations in Peter’s memory may be made to Gloucester Veterans Service, 12 Emerson Ave., Gloucester, MA 01945.
