SALEM – Ms. Ramona Adon, 96, of Salem, died peacefully, Monday, October 23rd, 2023 at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Vicente Adon and Virginia Ortiz. She was raised and educated in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She immigrated to the United States on December 27th, 1975, moving to Bronx, New York.
Ms. Adon resided in the Bronx, NY for 13 years and worked as a seamstress until the time of her moving to Salem, Massachusetts where she has since resided. She has made Salem her forever home and greatly appreciated being close to her children and grandchildren.
Always the life of the party, Ramona enjoyed singing and was an outstanding dancer. She was devoted to her Christian faith and was a prolific leader in her church community. God was at the center of her life and her beliefs.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will deeply missed and forever remembered.
Ramona is survived by her daughters, Daniela Nunez and Maria Ravelo, her son, Julio Ravelo, her 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and many, many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM, Thursday, Oct. 26th from 5 to 7 P.M. her graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orne St., Salem, Friday, Oct. 27th at 11 A.M.
