BOXFORD - Mr. Richard Francis Conklin, Jr., 71 of Boxford, beloved husband of the late Carol Lee (Cretecos) Conklin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, with his family by his side. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Richard F. and Florence (Nowlan) Conklin. Raised and educated in Lynn, he was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and continued his education at Merrimack College earning his bachelor's degree in accounting. As a Certified Public Accountant, Richard managed and operated his own practice in Danvers for many years until the time of his retirement. Through his work he was well respected and trusted by his many clients throughout the years. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Richard enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a talented wood craftsman and was fascinated by any and every type of car. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends. Richard is survived by his daughter, Meghan Conklin of Danvers and his son, Richard F. Conklin, III and his wife Jessica of Boston, his grandson, Theodore Lee Conklin, his siblings, Catherine Dower, William Conklin, Mary Doherty and Kevin Conklin and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 (Noon). Immediately following the visitation, the family has asked for you to join with them at The Hardcover, 15A Newbury St. (Rt. 1) Danvers, MA, to continue the celebration of Richard's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, MA Chapter, 220 North Main St., Suite 104, Natick, MA 01760.
