PEABODY- Mr. Richard Duran, 24, of Peabody, formerly of Salem, beloved son of Ramon and Josefina (Marte) Duran, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 18, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Richard was raised and educated in Salem and Peabody. He had a life long passion for dogs, especially Pitbulls. He enjoyed spending his free time playing video games, making and listening to music with his friends. Richard was a sports enthusiast; basketball and boxing were his favorites and he was very talented at both. He especially loved spending time with his family. Richard will be remembered for his sense of humor and infectious laugh. He will be deeply missed by many. Richard is survived by his parents, Ramon and Josefina (Marte) Duran, his three sisters, Jennifer Duran of Peabody, Natividad Duran of Salem and Alexandra Duran of New York, and his brother Alexander Duran of Peabody, his loving godmother Blanca Nunez, his nephew and niece, Edwin Ortiz Jr. and Emily Ortiz, also his proud cousin Eric Duran of Peabody and extended family and close friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Baptist Church, Chestnut St., Peabody, Friday at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours in The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Thursday from 5 to 9 P.M.
