DANVERS – Mr. Robert Warren “Bob” Mirick, 96 of Danvers, devoted husband of the late Jean (Nock) Mirick passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20th, 2023 at Beverly Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born in Boston, Robert was the son of the late Warren Mallard and Esther (Pendleton) Mirick. He was raised and educated in Stoneham and before his high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country as an Aerographer's Mate aboard the USS Boxer at the end of World War II. Following his honorable discharge from the military, Bob graduated from Stoneham high school and continued his education at Northeastern University, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

For nearly the entirety of his professional career, Bob worked as a Hydraulic Engineer for the United States Army Corps of Engineers where he worked in flood control for managing area dams. He greatly enjoyed his career and the friendships and connections he made throughout the years. 

Above all else, Bob was a devoted family man, providing for his wife and children. He was a member of the Essex Society of Genealogists, a proud member of the Mayflower Society and was deeply committed to his faith, serving as a Deacon at the Second Congregational Church in Beverly. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and close friends.

Bob is survived by his children, Jeffrey W. Mirick and his life partner, Doris Veraldo of Rockledge, FL, Frederick P. Mirick of Plymouth, Deborah Robson and her husband, James of Naples, ME and Stephen R. Mirick and his wife, Jane of Bradford; his grandchildren, Gloria Mirick, James Robson, Jr., Shaun Robson and Tara Robson-Clark and 9 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob’s funeral service which will be held at the Second Congregational Church, 35 Conant St., Beverly on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11 A.M. Burial in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden will be private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS.
