SALEM - Mr. Ronald William Henderson, 86, beloved husband of Ruthann (Hatt) Hatt, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020, surrounded by his loving family, following a long period of declining health.

Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Robert and Gladys (Lindgren) Henderson. He was raised and educated in Winthrop and attended Winthrop High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Henderson proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp.

Ron enjoyed golfing and once made a hole in one on his favorite course, Olde Salem Greens. He also enjoyed camping with extended family members who often teased him about the amount of equipment he would bring when “getting away from it all”.

Dedicated to his family and faith, he was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Salem and in later years at Holy Trinity United Methodist Church in Danvers. Both congregations were an important part of Ron’s life.

In addition to his beloved wife Ruthann, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage, Ron is survived by their three children, Tyler and his wife, Holly Henderson of Falmouth, ME, Jordan Henderson and his fiancé, Leanne Giannino of Somerville and Christian Henderson of Salem.
