Ronald Mercurio Obituary

DANVERS – Mr. Ronald Mercurio, 88, passed away on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late George and Alice (St. George) Mercurio. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Noone) Mercurio, with whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Mr. Mercurio was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School, class of 1953, going on to continue his education at Boston College. He worked for General Electric for many years as a computer technician before retiring.

Ronald loved sports, especially his Boston teams, always cheering on the Sox, Patriots, and BC football team. He enjoyed attending the Central Catholic games, aways supporting his family. Ron was a member of the Peabody Senior Center and the Polish Club in Danvers. But most of all, he loved spending time with his beloved wife, Kathleen. A devoted husband and family man, he will be sincerely missed.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Ronald is survived by his children; Ronald F. Mercurio and his wife Maria of Revere, Russell Mercurio of FL, Joseph Mercurio of Revere, and Rhonda Mercurio of FL, his siblings; George Mercuri and his wife Anna, and Madeline Lord and her husband Robert, in addition to 5 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 2 great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass which will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 174 Humphrey St, Swampscott, MA, on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at 11A.M. Visiting hours will be held prior from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Assisting the family is O'Donnell Cremations - Funerals - Celebrations - Danvers & Salem. In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have donations made in Ronald's memory to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
