Sally Ann (Burnham) Tinkham

DANVERS - Mrs. Sally A. Tinkham (Burnham), 92, of Danvers, beloved wife of Daniel H. Tinkham, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Genesis at Hathorne Hill, Danvers.

Born in Danvers she was the daughter of the late Minot and Ruth Burnham. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of the former Holten High School.

Sally had been employed in the Danvers School Lunch system for almost 30 years and was a fixture in many of the Danvers school cafeterias.

A loving and devoted wife of 73 years, mother and grandmother, Sally’s family was most important to her. She kept in touch with many as she enjoyed her telephone time with all of them. This applied to most of her Dayton St neighbors, as well. Her calls will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.

One of her favorite pastimes was spending time in her gardens. They were well planned so that there wouldn't be a season without color. She, also, loved her bird feeders, a love passed down from her aunt, at an early age. The feeders had to remain full, no matter the weather.

Surviving Sally is her son, Shawn Tinkham and his wife Patty of Danvers, MA, her grandson Shawn Daniel Foss and family, of Center Ossipee, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Daniel S. Tinkham and sister of the late, Robert M, and Peter Burnham, and Joan Gaston.
