MELROSE-Mr. Salvatore V. Restuccia, 91, of Melrose, beloved husband of Eleanor (Barletta) Restuccia, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Winchester Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Malden he was the son of the late Frank and Joanna (Merenda) Restuccia. He was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. Salvatore continued his education earning his Journeyman's license.

An honorably discharged veteran, Salvatore proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, first at the end of WWII and then recalled to serve during the Korean War.

Mr. Restuccia was a Master Plumber by trade and practiced his craft for over 36 years for Kirkland and Shaw Plumbing and Heating in Burlington, where he was known for his strong work ethic and expertise in his field.

He was devoted to and loved spending time with his family; he especially enjoyed traveling with his wife and would plan their trips down to the smallest detail. He enjoyed being a part of his children's and grandchildren's lives and relished time spent with them. Salvatore was artistic by nature and was an accomplished painter. He was meticulous, which served him well, as his other passion was building models.
