DANVERS – Ms. Sandra J. Neil, 81 of Danvers, went to her final resting place on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents, Edward J. Neil and Phyllis (MacDonald) Neil, and her sister, Shirley (Neil) Little. Surviving family include her sister, Barbara A. Neil of Danvers, niece Leah A. Olendzenski of Danvers, nephew Chris Olendzenski and his wife Susan of Lowell, nephew Richard Neil Olendzenski and his wife Cindy of Peabody , and her great-niece Cara Olendzenski of Peabody and her faithful companion cocker spaniel Midnight.
Sandra was a life-long resident of Danvers. She was a loving and devoted sister and aunt. Sandra was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching sports of all genres. Sandra formed the first girls softball league in Danvers and volunteered at the PGA U.S. Open at Salem Country Club and the LPGA Tournament at Radisson-Ferncroft.
Sandra was a member of the Mount Burnet Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron and advisor to the Rainbow Girls.
She worked for over 30 years at NAW Semi-Conductors in Lynn and worked mornings at BJ’s in Danvers before her retirement.
ARRANGEMENTS: A private graveside service for Sandra will be held. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sandra’s name to the Danvers People to People Food Pantry, 12 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
