Scott Bolden Obituary

PEABODY - Scott P. Bolden, passed away suddenly on April 6th, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Candis (Rochna) Bolden, to whom he was married for 43 years.

Born in Beverly on December 13th, 1958, he was the son of the late Janet (Palardy) Bolden and James Bolden.  Scott graduated from Beverly High School in 1976 and earned a Bachelors of History from Salem State College in 1981.  

Scott was a lineman for National Grid for over thirty years and retired in 2021.  

Scott was an avid reader and enjoyed historical nonfiction and horror novels.  He loved spending time at his cabin in Maine where he enjoyed fishing, sitting around the firepit, and spending time with his family.  Scott also enjoyed watching classic television shows and spending time with his dogs and granddogs.

Surviving Scott, in addition to his loving wife Candy, are his children; Courtni and Ryan Laracy of Beverly, Tristan and Laurel Bolden of Beverly, and Jenny and Derek McClenaghan of Peabody, Grandchildren, Grace Bolden, Benjamin Bolden, Jack Laracy, and Owen Laracy of Beverly. His brothers; Marc Bolden and his wife, Debra of Dracut, Bryan Bolden and his wife, Madelene of Falmouth. His sisters; Jeanne Bolden of Beverly and Joanne Bolden of Beverly, and brother- in-law Tom Ryan of Topsfield.  He was predeceased by his sister Susan Ryan and his sister-in-law Karen Bolden.  He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held graveside at Greenlawn Cemetery, 57 Orne St, Salem on Friday, April 12th at 11:30 A.M. Visiting hours will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals- Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Thursday, April 11th from 4 to 7 P.M. and prior to burial on Friday, April 12th from 10 to 11 A.M.
