Sheila O'Keefe Obituary

DANVERS – Ms. Sheila Ann (Clark) O’Keefe 68, of Danvers, died peacefully, Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sheila Ann (Kirby) Clark. She was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing High School. She continued her education graduating from Boston City Hospital School of Nursing.

A Registered Nurse by profession, Ms. O’Keefe had been employed for over 30 years with Salem Hospital. For many years she held the role of Nursing Administrator. In retirement she continued her work helping those in need as a Registered Nurse at Massachusetts Eye and Ear for over 9 years. She was known for her commitment to her patients and her guidance and support of her fellow care takers.

Sheila was a devoted mother and grandmother and was ultimately proud of her children and grandchildren. She relished time spent with her loved ones and often would be at their life events, full of encouragement and joy. She was truly her grandchildren’s #1 fan. An avid golfer, she was a long-time member of Salem Country Club. She had a true passion for the game of Golf. She travelled and played many courses throughout the country and the world. Golf was truly her first love and she was content to be spending time on the links with her friends or watching the Masters every April. A passionate New England Patriots fan, who enjoyed travel, she recently took great solace in time spent along the Danvers River. Above all else, family was paramount in her life. Her life was full of love and her hallmark will be her commitment to others, especially her children and grandchildren.

Sheila is survived by her daughter, Caitlin Keenan and her husband, Brian of Windham, NH, her son, Matt O’Keefe and his wife, Alexa of Danvers, her beloved grandchildren, Abby, Jack, Mia and Livi, her devoted brother, Michael Clark and his wife, Ruth of Rowley, her nephews, Derek, Ryan and Kevin Clark and many friends.
