BEVERLY – Ms. Shirley J. (King) Lemay, 69, passed away on Friday, November 17th, 2023 at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Salem, she was the beloved daughter of Edward, Sr. and Lucy (Spinale) King. Raised and educated in Salem, she was a graduate of Salem High School. Shirley worked for Lomesis Brothers in Peabody for many years as a leather splitter, and later as a Registry Manager for Babies "R" Us. She had resided in Beverly for 31 years, and prior to that in Salem and Peabody.
Shirley was a hard worker, providing for family and raising her children. She enjoyed making memories with her family and grandchildren, they were her world. Shirley had a love for movies and music, especially her record collection.
She is survived by her children; Linda Lemay and her partner, Kevin Willis of Beverly, Michael Lemay of Salem, and Robert Taeger, Jr. of Beverly, her grandchildren; Thomas Dipaolo, Ella Lemay, Shaun Lemay, Noah Taeger, and Rylee Bennett, as well as her brother; Edward King, Jr. and his wife, Alice Riley of Salem. She is preceded in death by her sisters; Ellie Burris and Donna Ambrose.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shirley’s funeral service which will be held graveside at Central Cemetery, 60 Hale St, Beverly on Friday, December 1st at 11 A.M.
