SALEM – Mr. Sixto Alberto Nunez Guerrero, 62 of Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 9TH, 2024 at North Shore Medical Center in Salem.
Born in Bani, Dominican Republic, Sixto is the son of Altagracia Romeam and the late Sixto Nunez. He was raised and educated in Bani, D.R and immigrated to the United States in 1978.
Sixto was a devoted laborer working in housekeeping and maintenance. A familiar smile, Sixto enjoyed helping others.
A lover of music and dancing, Sixto could be found dancing bachata, including others in the joy music shared. Always put together, his sense of style was often finished with a perfect pair of sunglasses, and to top off his best look, Sixto was happiest when driving around in his car. Above all else, he was a loving family man who will be deeply missed by many.
In addition to his mother, Altagracia Romeam of Salem, Sixto is survived by his children, Ronald Nunez of East Boston, Desiree Mari Nunez of New York, Elvin Nunez of New York, Bryan Nunez of Revere and Albert Nunez of Rhode Island; his 3 granddaughters, including his newest, Alani Nunez; his siblings, Sixta Nunez of New York, Juana Lauzel of New York, Santa Guerrero of Salem, Nilda Guerrero of Salem and Claudia Guerrero of Salem and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sixto’s funeral Mass which will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem on Thursday, February 15th at 11 A.M. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Wednesday, February 14th from 4 to 7 P.M.
