Susan Pavlou Obituary

DANVERS – Mrs. Susan Marie (Deisley) Pavlou, 60 of Danvers, loving wife of Anastasios Pavlou, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Beverly Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born on a U.S. Naval base in Argentia, Newfoundland, Susan was the daughter of Emma (Dzierzanowski) Deisley and the late William Deisley. Raised and educated in Salem, Susan was a graduate of Salem High School. Following her graduation, she enrolled in the apprentice program with General Electric and continued her education at Northeastern University earning her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management. Devoted to her professional career, Susan dedicated over 41 years with General Electric, where she was a Sales Forecaster working with the Armed Forces.

Susan always thought of others before herself and would be the first to offer a helping hand; to family and even to those she did not know so well. She was tough, but always kind and selfless.

A loving and devoted daughter, wife and mother; Susan truly loved her family. She showed her love in many ways but mainly through the food dishes she provided. She was a rock for her family, in many ways – sometimes in her beliefs, but mainly by keeping them together and instilling in them great strength. Susan was an avid piano player, enjoying all classical and soundtrack music. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband Tasos of Danvers, with whom she shared 33 years of marriage and her mother Emma Deisley of Peabody, Susan is survived by her daughters; Katarina Pavlou of Turner Falls, MA and Alyssa Pavlou of Danvers, her siblings; Karen Law and her husband Richard, Patty Milton and her husband Jimmy, Joey Deisley and Tommy Deisley, her sister-in-law, Connie Deisley and her nieces and nephews; Daniel and Christine Law, Robin Milton, Elizabeth Parzanese and Stephanie Deisley and many other extended family members and dear friends. Susan was the mother of the late Jessica Pavlou and sister of the late Bobby Deisley.
