Thomas Freeman Obituary

DANVERS - Mr. Thomas F. Freeman, 84, of Danvers, beloved husband of Marion (Scales) Freeman, passed away Sunday September 20, 2020 at Lahey Medical Center, Burlington surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late John and Belinda (Kennedy) Freeman who immigrated to the United States from Ireland. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, Thomas proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Thomas embarked on a distinguished career, along with his wife Marion, as proprietors of their retail picture framing store, Rockport Reproductions. With an eye for detail he framed many works of art, family photos and heirlooms for over 20 years. He was well respected in the industry and served the many artists and families on Cape Ann and throughout the North Shore.

A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Tom was a man with a strong sense of family; he had a good sense of humor and really enjoyed telling corny jokes. He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Beverly Golf and Tennis Club. Tom enjoyed a great game of golf, reveled in the competition and comradery and fostered many friendships over the years. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

Surviving Tom, in addition to his loving wife Marion with whom he shared 49 years of marriage, is his daughter, Jodi Freeman of Danvers, his son, Eric Freeman and his wife Shelly of Houston, TX, his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sarah Lograsso of Danvers and Sydney and Jeremy of Houston, TX, his brother Leo Freeman and his wife Georgia of Halifax and several nieces and nephews.
