SALEM- Mrs. Veronica H. Poe, 98, of Salem, formerly of Lynn, beloved wife of the late Ernest G. Poe, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Saugus she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Hilda (DeSouza) Conti. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. Following her service to her country, Veronica embarked on long career in Nursing, serving in a variety of settings, ultimately retiring from Lynn Convalescent Home, following a 40 year career. Veronica was kind, generous and gave of herself every day to care for the patients in her charge.

Devoted to her family and faith, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was truly happiest when surrounded by them, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was tiny but mighty and enjoyed being involved in all their activities and participating in their many accomplishments and milestones. She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Lynn and a member of their Soldality. Later she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody. She will be fondly remembered as a feisty, kind and generous woman who will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
