Vincent Tenaglia Obituary

PEABODY- Mr. Vincent Tenaglia, 71, of Peabody, beloved husband of Margaret “Maggie” (Bistrim) Tenaglia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24th, 2022, at Melrose Wakefield Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Orsogna, Italy, he was the son of the late John and Leonina (Scenna) Tenaglia. He and his family immigrated to the United States when he was seven. They lived in several Massachusetts cities; he graduated from Malden High School and continued his education at both Merrimack College and at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell.

Mr. Tenaglia worked in many fields but at the end of his career he worked in Software Quality Assurance, specifically in the medical industry. His parents set a strong example, teaching him the value of hard work and improving one’s life, and he learned that lesson well.

Vinnie’s greatest passion was his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being the life of the party when surrounded by his loved ones. He adored his grandchildren and loved being involved in their lives, experiencing their many milestones. He was a talented woodworker and was known for his ability to fix anything. These skills were often sought after by family and friends alike. If something needed fixing, “give it to Vinnie”. He enjoyed playing golf, loved music, and watching sports, especially his beloved Patriots. Vinnie will be remembered for his love of family, his generosity and easy smile and will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

Surviving Vinnie in addition to his wife Maggie with whom he shared 38 years of marriage are his sons, Darrell V. Tenaglia and his husband, Tom Lee of San Francisco, CA and Nicholas A. Tenaglia and his wife, Kristin and his granddaughters, Violet and Penelope Tenaglia of Lynnfield, his sister, Nicoletta “Nicky” and her husband, Stanley “Stan” Coolen of Saugus, and his nieces and nephews, Kristen Coolen, Lisa O’Brien and her husband, Sean, Lora Sciacca and her husband, John, Ted Ferretti and his wife, Cheryl, Artie Ferretti and his wife, Kelly, John Ferretti and his wife, Lisa and Concetta “Tina” Parziale and her husband, John. He was also the brother of the late Maria Ferretti.
