SALEM- Mr. William Stewart Jr., 71, beloved husband of Nancy A. (Wilson) Stewart, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Brentwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Danvers, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Ina (McCauley) Stewart. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

An honorably discharged veteran of the Vietnam War, Bill proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Stewart had been employed by Fermon Leather Company and later by Bob Kat Leather as a Foreman for many years. Following his retirement, Bill began what he considered the best job, driving the shuttle bus for Ira Toyota for 10 years.

A lifelong resident of the North Shore Bill was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends, and spending time with his family. Bill had a special place in his heart for his canine companion Rocky and his parrot Pal. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and pets.

Surviving Bill in addition to his wife Nancy are his son, Peter Stewart of Beverly and his daughter, Ann Marie Figueroa and her husband Manuel of Lynn, his granddaughter Heidi Figueroa and his step-grandsons, Adam Figueroa and David Figueroa.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 4 - 7 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial is private. To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.odonnellfuneralservice.com .
