DANVERS - Mrs. A. Eileen Mounsey, 95, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Harry J. Mounsey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late H. Murray and Mary Belle (Dunn) Allen. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of the former Holten Richmond High School.

Eileen began a career at New England Telephone that spanned over 30 years. Her ability to problem solve, matched with her willingness to help others and her impeccable customer service skills made her excel in her career. During her retirement she worked for McKinnon's Market well into her eighties, keeping up with the latest technology and serving the many customers who came through to play the lottery.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Eileen's "Boys" came first and foremost. She considered raising her family the best job she ever had, enjoying the rough and tumble life of raising five sons. She completely absorbed herself in their countless activities and accomplishments and was truly proud of the men they became. Eileen will be forever remembered for her love of family, generosity to others and deeply missed by those who loved her most and the many friends and acquaintances she met over the years.

Surviving Eileen are her sons, Bill Mounsey and his wife Christi of Las Vegas, NV, David Mounsey and his wife Kathleen of Wichita Falls, TX and John Mounsey and his wife Lana of Seabrook, NH, her 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, her sisters, Doris Foss and Marilyn Etherington both of Venice, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Stephen Mounsey and Richard Mounsey and sister of the late Betty Bates.

ARRANGEMENT: Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Eileen's life which will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Red's Kitchen and Tavern 131, Newbury St., (Rte. 1 North) Peabody from 4 to 6 PM.
