Adam Thomas
O'Keefe
July 11, 1983 – September 13, 2018
DANVERS -Mr. Adam Thomas O'Keefe, 35, of Danvers, died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston surrounded by his loving family, following a battle with cancer.
Born in Stoneham, he was the beloved son of Lawrence and Gail (Sardo) O'Keefe. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, class of 2001. Adam excelled in athletics and was a Captain and member of the 2001 Falcons Boys Hockey State Championship team. He continued his education with a post graduate year at Bridgton Academy and then attended college at Roger Williams University graduating in 2006.
A Master Plumber by trade, Adam was the Plumbing Foreman and Project Manager for O'Keefe Plumbing in Danvers.
A loving and caring son, brother and uncle, Adam was devoted to his family. He was selfless in many ways and donated his time, passion and energy to the Massachusetts Special Olympics, as a coach and unified partner of the Flag football program, the golf program and as an annual fund raiser. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycling but above all else he was committed and devoted to his brothers and family.
Adam had a great gift of humor and his ability to make others laugh and smile was legendary. He was witty, comical and always the life of the party. He was quick to smile himself and took great pleasure in bringing joy to others. Even in difficult times, Adam could always lighten the mood and he wouldn't stop till he saw a smile on everyone around. To give the gift of laughter is a special talent and Adam certainly had it in spades. He will be deeply missed.
Adam is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Gail O'Keefe, his brothers, Michael O'Keefe and his wife Lindsay and Corey O'Keefe all of Danvers, his niece and nephew, Mila and Jonah O'Keefe, his best friends, Peter and Dee Sauchuk, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.
