DANVERS – Mrs. Agnes R. "Nancy" (Metcalf) Jordan, 100 of Danvers and the loving wife of the late Richard Jordan passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 at Beverly Hospital with her family by her side.

She was the daughter of Roy and Mary Metcalf of Weymouth, Mass. She spent the earlier part of her life with her family in the South Shore in Quincy and Weymouth, MA before meeting Richard, getting married and moving to Danvers where they would start a family and life together.

She was a dedicated homemaker and wife who raised three boys while also helping to support her husband as he developed his career over the years in the Danvers school system. She also attended and graduated from hairdressing school along the way and always enjoyed studying English grammar and learning new things.

She was a long standing member of the First Baptist Church of Danvers where she took an active role in the church, performing as an organist, soloist and Sunday School teacher. She also assisted with the bookkeeping role for the church. She was meticulous and deeply devoted to each endeavor she was involved in, but put her family first above all else and got great enjoyment from helping them and others.

Nancy is survived by her sons: Bob and Mary Jordan of Topsfield, MA and David and Lisa Jordan of Peabody, MA, her daughter-in law Diane Jordan of Reading, MA as well as seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren all of whom she adored.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her four siblings and her eldest son, Ronald Jordan.
