SALEM - Mr. Alcides Wilson Romero 85 of Salem, died Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Born in Guantanamo, Cuba, he was the son of the late Francisco and Petronila (Romero) Wilson. He was raised and educated in Cuba. Mr. Wilson Romero lived as a young man in Cuba and had a great reputation for his skill and craftmanship in the masonry business. In the late 1960's he immigrated to the United States first residing in Miami, Florida and then moving to Puerto Rico and in the early 1990's he moved to Salem where he has since resided. He was an outgoing gentleman who enjoyed Salsa dancing and games of chance. He was a proud man who always carried himself with great dignity. He will be deeply missed. Alcides is survived by his children, Zorraya Wilson, William Wilson, Marlene Wilson, Tania Wilson, Romilio Wilson, Rey Alcides Wilson and Eduardita Wilson, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings and nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 84 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Tuesday, Dec. 24th at 9 A.M. Relatives and friends invited.
