Mr. Alfred J. Gentile, 75, of Danvers, beloved husband of Cynthia A. (Geras) Gentile, died Friday evening, February 26, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Louis and Ida (Gentile) Gentile. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

Mr. Gentile had been employed as a Utility Worker for the Salem/Beverly Water Supply Board for over 28 years until the time of his retirement.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Al was a longtime resident of the Town of Danvers and was a former member of the Polish, Russian, Lithuanian Club of Danvers for many years. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by them.

In addition to his loving wife Cynthia, to whom he was married 35 years, Al is survived by his daughter, Beth Hunter and her husband Gary of Daytona Beach, FL, his grandchildren, Matthew Hunter and his wife Tiffany and Kayla O'Brien and her husband Sean all of Florida, his five great-grandchildren and his two brothers, William Gentile and Richard Gentile and his wife Rose all of Salem.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, on Tuesday at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited.
