SALEM - Mrs. Alfreda M. "Freda" (Buczko) Hunt, 100 of Salem, beloved wife of the late Ronald J. Hunt, Sr., died Sunday, December 12th, 2021 at Twin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danvers surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ignacy and Veronica (Brzozowska) Buczko. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.  Freda continued her education at North Shore Community College.

Mrs. Hunt had been employed as a Field Auditor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 16 years and belonged to several State Boards.  Freda had a diverse career having been employed by GTE Sylvania in several of their facilities, the Parliament Press Printing Company of Salem and was a well-known Real Estate Broker and Notary Public.

As dedicated to her career as Freda was, she believed family first and her family was paramount. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was proud of her family and their many accomplishments and enjoyed spending time with them and participating in their many activities.

Avid travelers and snowbirds, Freda and Ron spent winters in Fort Meyers, Florida for 20 years; they also enjoyed traveling the United States and especially enjoyed their trip to Alaska. They had a love for folk and bluegrass music and attended many festivals together. When not traveling, Freda enjoyed spending time in her garden. Freda will be remembered for her dedication to her career, her strong work ethic and the love she had for family and friends. She will be deeply missed by them.

Freda is survived by her son, Ronald J. Hunt Jr. Salem, NH, her son-in-law, Thomas Adamson of Peabody, her grandchildren, Katelyn MacDonald and her husband, Michael of Londonderry, NH, Kelsey Shields and her husband, Andrew of Randolph & Kiley Hunt and her significant other, Jake Bartlett of Virginia Beach, VA and Thomas Adamson and his fiancé, Meaghan Drugan of Boston, Christine Adamson of Peabody and Kelly Adamson of Haverhill, her great-grandchildren, Nora MacDonald and Patrick Shields and several nieces and nephews.  She was also the mother of the late, Gail Adamson, sister of the late Retired Probate Court Judge Thaddeus Buczko, Albert Buczko, Irene Shea, Veronica Hourihan, Sophie Theriault and Bernard Buczko and mother-in-law of the late Janice Hunt.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Service will be held in O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq. (at Salem Common) SALEM on Friday, December 17th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. A visiting hour will be held prior to the Service from 10 to 11 A.M.  Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
