PEABODY – Ann (Pollard) Egan, 95, beloved wife of the late William M. Egan, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2026 in Beverly, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Furness) Pollard.

Ann was raised and educated in Lynn and was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s High School. After graduation, she attended the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned her credentials as a Registered Nurse. She began her career at Lynn Hospital, where her compassion and dedication made her a valued member of the care team. When motherhood called her away from nursing for a time, she devoted herself fully to raising her family. She later returned to the profession she loved as a Psychiatric Nurse at McLean Hospital in Belmont, bringing patience, kindness, and a gentle spirit to those in her care.

Ann was a true social butterfly who never met a stranger. She treasured time spent with friends and family, whether across a table at a spirited game of bridge or on the dance floor, where she loved to line dance. In their younger years, Ann and her husband William were avid curlers, and she enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie the sport brought them. She spent her summers on beautiful Cape Cod and her winters in sunny Naples, Florida, where she enjoyed the company of many dear friends.

Above all, Ann cherished her family. As a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was the heart of her family affectionately known as “Granny Annie.” Just this year, she celebrated her 95th birthday surrounded by her family, another wonderful celebration on the Cape that will be remembered fondly.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Egan and her husband David Drinon of Andover, her sons, William Egan, Jr. and his wife Ellen Curley of Boston, James Egan and his partner Joanna Lia of Bethany, CT, and Thomas Egan and his partner Tracy Toler of Randolph, VT, her grandchildren, James Curley-Egan and his wife Jodi, Timothy Curley-Egan and his wife Renee, Sarah Drinon Ballato and her husband Kenneth, Sean Egan, Robert Egan, and Liam Egan, her great grandchildren, Rosalie Curley-Egan, Henry Curley-Egan, Liza Curley-Egan, Kenneth “Trip” Ballato, III, and Jameson Egan.
