Antonio Manuel Grullon

LYNN – Mr. Antonio Manuel Grullon 79, of Lynn, formerly long-time resident of Salem, beloved husband of Reina Mercedez Grullon, died peacefully, Sunday, April 26th, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Moca, Dominican Republic, he was raised and educated in the Dominican and earned his college degree in agriculture. He immigrated to the United States over 30 years ago, making Salem his family’s home.

Mr. Grullon had been employed for over 22 years with the Hertz Rental Car company at their East Boston location until the time of his retirement. He was a master detailer and was known for his exceptional care and dedication to his career.

From a young age, Antonio loved being in the out of doors. His passion for agriculture didn’t end when he moved to the US. He loved to garden and be in the yard tending to his flowers and plants. He was a talented carpenter and a true MR. Fix it. He was an avid wood worker and was so proud of the swing set he built from scratch for his grandchildren. He would often sneak off to the hardware store to grab a part to help a friend or neighbor in need. As he was always the first to lend a hand. He was always on the go, helping others. If there was a project to be done, he was the first to volunteer.

He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. He was a devoted, husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be forever missed.

Antonio is survived by his wife of 42 years, Reina Mercedez Grullon, his children, Rosanna Grullon, Maite Grullon, Anthony Grullon, Jose Grullon and Elizabeth Grullon, his 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, his siblings, Pilar, Altagracia, Julio “Chi Chi”, Guaro, Pedro and Luis Albert and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM, Saturday, May 2nd from 3 to 7 P.M. His funeral service will be held at 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boston St., Lynn, Monday, May 4th at 11 A.M. Please meet at the main gate at Boston Street entrance at 10:30 AM for procession. For those that wish to join the funeral procession please meet at the funeral home by 9:45 A.M. on Monday. LYNN - El Sr. Antonio Manuel Grullón, de 79 años y residente de Lynn —quien fuera por mucho tiempo residente de Salem—, amado esposo de Reina Mercedez Grullón, falleció pacíficamente el domingo 26 de abril de 2026, rodeado de su amorosa familia.

Nacido en Moca, República Dominicana, creció y se educó en su país natal, donde obtuvo su título universitario en agricultura. Emigró a los Estados Unidos hace más de 30 años, estableciendo su hogar familiar en Salem.

El Sr. Grullón trabajó durante más de 22 años para la compañía de alquiler de automóviles Hertz, en su sucursal de East Boston, hasta el momento de su jubilación. Fue un experto en el detallado de vehículos y era reconocido por el cuidado excepcional y la dedicación que ponía en su trabajo.

Desde su juventud, a Antonio le encantaba estar al aire libre. Su pasión por la agricultura no terminó cuando se mudó a los Estados Unidos; le apasionaba la jardinería y disfrutaba pasando tiempo en el patio, cuidando de sus flores y plantas. Era un carpintero talentoso y un verdadero "manitas" capaz de arreglar cualquier cosa. Era un entusiasta de la ebanistería y se sentía sumamente orgulloso del juego de columpios que construyó desde cero para sus nietos. A menudo se escapaba a la ferretería para conseguir alguna pieza y así poder ayudar a algún amigo o vecino que lo necesitara, pues siempre era el primero en tender una mano. Siempre estaba activo, yendo de un lado a otro para ayudar a los demás; si había algún proyecto por realizar, él era el primero en ofrecerse como voluntario.

Su mayor felicidad residía en estar rodeado de su familia y sus amigos. Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y hermano devoto, cuya presencia se extrañará por siempre.

A Antonio le sobreviven su esposa de más de 42 años, Reina Mercedez Grullon; sus hijos, Rosanna Grullon, Maite Grullon, Anthony Grullon, Jose Grullon y Elizabeth Grullon; sus 9 nietos y 5 bisnietos; sus hermanos, Pilar, Altagracia, Julio “Chi Chi”, Guaro, Pedro y Luis Albert; así como muchos sobrinos, familiares extendidos y amigos.

DISPOSICIONES: Se invita a familiares y amigos a las horas de visita en O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, ubicada en 84 Washington Sq. (junto a Salem Common), SALEM, el sábado 2 de mayo, de 3:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. Su servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo a las 4:30 p. m. en la misma funeraria. El sepelio tendrá lugar en el Cementerio Pine Grove, en Boston St., Lynn, el lunes 4 de mayo a las 11:00 a.m. Por favor, preséntense en la entrada principal de Boston Street a las 10:30 a.m. para unirse a la procesión.
