SALEM – Mrs. Arlene M. (Dupuis) Dean, 83 of Salem, loving wife of the late Louis Dean, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 at Salem Hospital.

Born in Salem, Arlene was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Lillian (Lavoie) Dupuis. She was raised and educated in Salem, attending Salem Public Schools.

Arlene was a leader, and found great joy in her professional career at Dynamics Research Corp Manufacturing (DRC) in Wilmington where she worked for many decades as a group and team leader. She was well liked and respected amongst her coworkers and peers.

In her leisure, she enjoyed being with family; spending time in the summer on her husband's pleasure boat the "Blue Echo" where they enjoyed many trips off the coast of Beverly and Salem or taking trips to Foxwoods to enjoy in various games of chance. Wherever life took her, Arlene made many lasting memories as a loving wife, mother and mémère. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving Arlene is her daughter, Linda Engdahl of Salem; her daughter-in-law, Charlene Knorr of Salem; her 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; her brother, Wilfred Dupuis, Jr and his wife, Lillian of Lynn; brother-in-law, William Dean of Medford. Arlene was predeceased by her parents, loving husband Louis; her beloved children, Jeffery Knorr, Sr., Kenny Knorr and Barbara Knorr; her siblings, Theresa Terolli, Dorothy Dion and Eva Miller and sister-in-law, Priscilla Dean Rhodes.
