DANVERS - Mrs. Arlene B. (Stone) Wheeler, 90, of Danvers, wife of the late Donald Earl Wheeler, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19th, 2024 at Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody.
Born and raised in Marblehead, daughter of the late Ralph and Beulah (Winslow) Stone, she was educated in the Marblehead School System and graduated from the Marblehead High School Class of 1952 and the Salem Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Wheeler had been employed for many years as a registered nurse in the health care industry on the North Shore.
Arlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of the Maple Street Congregational Church, Danvers and member of the Salem Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.
She is survived by her daughter Karen Kilty and her husband Frank of Danvers, three sons; Jeffrey Wheeler and his wife Debra of Georgia, David Wheeler and his wife Karen of Boxford, and Nika Wheeler of Salem, along with seven grandchildren Chris Kilty, Jamie Shelton and her husband Ken, Brett Wheeler and her wife Geneva, Juliette Wheeler, Jayna Wheeler, Mariah Wheeler, Maya Wheeler, and great grandchildren Oliver and Harper Shelton, her brother Norman Stone and his wife Linda of Salem, former daughter-in-law Celine Wheeler and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Earl Wheeler, with whom she had celebrated 49 years of marriage, and her brother, Ralph Stone Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and relatives are invited to attend Arlene's Funeral Service, which will be held on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Maple Street Congregational Church, 90 Maple Street, Danvers, MA 01923. A visiting hour will be held prior to her service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.. Following the service will be a lunch at the Church. Assisting the family with arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arlene's memory may be made to the Maple Street Congregational Church, 90 Maple Street, Danvers MA 01923.
