KEY WEST, FLORIDA - Mr. Arthur F. 'Artie" King Jr. 57, of Key West Florida, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 30, 2019, in Bar Harbor, Maine.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Arthur F. Sr. and Lydia (Niciewski) King. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. As a young man he enjoyed playing ice hockey. A long-time construction Manager and Superintendent, Mr. King had been employed for over 25 years with Ocean Properties. He traveled the United States running and working on construction projects, from Utah, to Florida, Maine to The Virgin Islands, Artie was known for his attention to detail and his care and concern for his construction crews. Artie loved a good time and enjoyed making new friends across the world. He liked riding his bike, going to the beach, had a passion for the ocean, loved to ski in Vermont and sun bathe in Florida. Artie and his father were car enthusiasts and enjoyed this passion together. Above all else his passion and devotion were to his family and his beloved daughter. He will be deeply missed. Artie is survived by his loving daughter, Kaitlyn Dakota King of Orlando, Fl, his sister, Tammy M. Saffer and her husband Gary of Georgetown, his niece, Amanda Saffer of Georgetown, his nephew and God Son, Adam Saffer of Georgetown, Kaitlyn's mother, Kelly Holmes of Orlando, Fl, his companion Shana Plakias of Revere, his uncles and aunts, Donald King of Salem, Ronald and Carol King of Salem, Libby Rechetnuk of Peabody, Pamela King of Salem and many additional aunts, cousins and extended family and many friends including his dear friends, Rudy Michael and Marc Richard.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Saturday, April 6th at 11 A.M. Burial in St, Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
