DANVERS - Audrey Evelyn MacLean, 96, passed peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on August 16th, 2023, in Danvers.  She was the youngest of four children.

Audrey was born in Danvers to Fred and Laura Durkee on November 15th, 1926. She graduated from Danvers High School and attended nursing school. She married David S. MacLean of Danvers in February 1948 in Washington, D.C. Mother of four daughters, she was an accomplished gardener and cook. She also enjoyed sewing and made most of her children's clothing in their early years. She was also a successful residential real estate broker, often working with first-time homebuyers.

Audrey is survived by her family including Sandra MacLean of Florence, KY, Susan MacLean of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Judy and Craig Kauffman of Salem, MA, Salina and Rick Ponticelli of Danvers, MA, and grandchildren Sara MacLean of Austin, TX and Benjamin Morton of Newton, MA.

ARRANGEMENTS: There will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Audrey's memory may be made to the Wenham Council on Aging, 5 School Street, Wenham, MA 01984 are requested by the family.
