SALEM – Mrs. Barbara L. (Dockum – Henshaw) DePari, 93 of Salem, formerly of Lynn, wife of the late Walter Henshaw and the late Victor DePari, died on Wednesday, June 25th, 2025 in Peabody.
Born and raised in Salem, Barbara was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Gladys (Jones – Dockum) Webber. She received her education in the Salem school system.
In her early life, Barbara worked as a waitress at the Kowloon restaurant and, in her later years, at The Darn Yarn Shop of Lynn.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, Barbara enjoyed light houses, especially Fort Pickering Light House on Winter Island in Salem. She was a talented crocheter and knitter and enjoyed traveling to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Barbara was happiest when entertaining family and friends, in the comfort of her home. She enjoyed all movies, especially musicals.
Barbara is survived by her children, Walter "Billy" Henshaw, his wife, Dierdra of Barre, VT, his children, Eric Henshaw and his daughter, Lilyth of Westford, VT, Christa Giddinge of NH and Mike Wunder and his children, Joshua and Jessica Wunder of Maryville, TN; Gail Henshaw of Danvers, her son, Scott Henshaw and his wife, Michelle and their daughter, Harper of Rolla, MO; Donna Cooke, her husband, George (deceased) of Salem, their son, Stephen, his wife, Christine and his son, Jack, of Amesbury; and Bonnie Pike of Bradenton, FL, her daughter, Emilee Pike of Meredith, NH. She also leaves behind additional grandchildren: Philip Downs and his wife, Lenore of Danvers, their children: Devyn Downs of NY and Isaac Downs of Danvers; Jay Downs of Salem, his daughters: Mackenzie and Teagan Downs of Peabody. Barbara also leaves her niece, Debra (Gallo) Palmer of Salem. Barbara was predeceased by her daughters, Robbin (Henshaw) Downs and Rhonda Henshaw; her sisters, Shirley (her husband, Paul) Gallo and Ruth Dockum.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barbara's funeral service which will be held graveside at Greenlawn Cemetery, 57 Orne St., Salem on Monday, June 30th at 1 P.M. (Please meet at the main entrance) - There will be a reception to follow with location to be announced. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM.
